How to submit an application for enrollment form in Bar Council of West Bengal 2022
Law is an interesting subject and it is a professional course. Every student has the dream to become an advocate but to become an advocate but to become an advocate you first need to pass LLB. The LLB course may be either 3 years or 5 years. Then you need to submit application in the State Bar Council where after your approval of application you get an enrollment number which you can use to appear for AIBE examination.
Documents required for Application of Enrollment in Bar Council of West Bengal:
Maximum 5 documents(Original as well as one set attested xerox copy) are required for the submission of enrollment application in Bar Council of West Bengal.
1. Certificate of Madhyamic or Secondary examination.
2. Certificate of Higher secondary examination.
3. Certificate of Graduation(for 3 year LLB fcandidates).
4. Final semester mark sheet of year or 5 year LLB.
5. Certificate of LLB pass or provisional certificate Or SC/ST certificate (Only applicable to SC and ST candidates)
[N.B.: 5 documents need to be submitted in original along with the one attested copies of 5 documents from the Advocate]
Steps to be followed for successful enrollment:
1. download SBI challan (click here to download) and submit the required fees( click here to download fees structure) to SBI main branch near city civil court.
2. Next submit the filled up application along with the original document and Xerox copies to the Counter of Bar Council of West Bengal.
3. The Bar Council of West Bengal will give you a counter part with a filing number.
4. Next you have to submit the declaration form to the Gazette office to publish your name in Gazette notification. Got to any typewriter and ask for an application cum declaration to publish your name in Gazette notification.
5. Pay the required fees in cash along with your AADHAR card Xerox copy and declaration form along with that challan Xerox copy to the Gazette office.
6. Now submit the challan which you have received from the Gazette office to Counter number 4 of Bar Council of West Bengal. Now wait for maximum 2 to 3 months for publishing your name in State roll.
