How to get migration certificate from WBUT/MAKAUT [full details]

Hello friends. Hope you people are enjoying our new section and law related question and answers. Few days ago one of my blog viewers asked me about the process to get a migration certificate from WBUT or Calcutta University. I told him to download the migration form from WBUT(West Bengal University of Technology)official website. He downloaded the form and found it was not new one i.e. recently WBUT has changed its name to MAKAUT(Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology). So I suggested him to visit WBUT’s (MAKAUT) head office which is situated at Salt Lake, Kolkata-700064. He went to the office and get the new form and he found that in that form both WBUT and MAKAUT was printed. I have given below the new form image  as well as the challan image. You can not use this form and challan. This form is given here to give you an idea that how the form and challan looks.

Procedure of getting Migration certificate from WBUT

1.  Visit WBUT’s head office which is located at Salt Lake, Kolkata-700064

2.  Visit Indian Bank which is beside of WBUT’s head office mentioned in point no. 1.

3.  Ask for a WBUT migration form, which will cost you rupees 20/- and also collect a bank challan( Challan image is given below)

4.  Carefully fillup the migration form and get a Signature of the Head of the institution with official seal from where you studied or complete your bachelor degree.

5.  Now visit WBUT’s Salt Lake office with completed challan and attested migration form along with 

(A) Original registration certificate.

(B) Mark sheet of final exam(i.e 8^th Semester’s mark sheet)

[N.B: keep a Xerox copy of original registration certificate and mark sheet of 8^th semester. The above mentioned documents will be required for verification purpose]

6.  Your completed challan need to be stamped from finance department.

7.  Visit the adjacent Indian Bank and pay the adequate migration certificate fee( Ordinary fee Rs. 200/- and Urgent fee Rs.300-/)

8.  Visit WBUT/MAKAUT office and submit migration form , challan(carry Xerox copy of registration certificate and marksheet) and collect the deposit copy of challan.

9.  According to the instruction which is given at the back side of migration form, you have to visit WBUT’s office to collect the migration certificate.

Ordinary-Collect certificate ofter 15 to 20 days.

Urgent- Collect after 3 to 7 days.
