You may have found different software for your graphics design but according to me coreldraw is one of the best design software. Most of the people prefer it because, its  easy to learn. Today I will show you how to draw a ring in coreldraw. For this tutorial I’m using coreldraw X5.From this tutorial you will learn (1) Drawing a ring (2) Creating a Shadow.
Follow this steps to get a clear idea



Step 1:

Open a blank document 1000X1000 pixel





Step 2:

Now we are going to make two circle using Elipse tool. Press Ctrl key from your Keyboard and select Elipse tool and draw a circle and change its color to black. Draw another circle but size should be smaller than the previous one and change its color to red. We are changing colors to differentiate the ttwo circles.







Step 3:

Now select the large circle and press “p” from your keyboard after that select the small circle and again press “p” from your keyboard. This will make your circles perfectly centered.


Step 4:

Now press “shift” key from keyboard and select two circles and goto arrange->>Shaping ->> Back Minus Front. Now you will see a ring.




Step 5:

Now changing the ring color using FOUNTAIN FILL TOOL. If you want to make a shadow then draw a circle and fill with black color and then goto drop shadow tool and now click below the circle and drag a little to bottom now you see a shadow.
[to apart shadow from the circle first select the circle with shadow then press Ctrl+K from keyboard and now only select the shadow and drag it anywhere]
