Interview math puzzles

1.       How can you make 120 with 5 zeros?

Answer: If you have studied science in class 12 then this question is very easy to you and you know how to do this. But I have to give that answer for them who don’t know how to do this.
This can be done using factorial formula.
Factorial {Factorial (0) + Factorial (0) + Factorial (0) + Factorial (0) + Factorial (0)}
= Factorial {1+1+1+1+1}
= Factorial (5)
= 5*4*3*2*1
= 120

2.       Suppose you have two identical candles each burns for 1 hour. How can you measure 90 minutes with these two candles without using any measuring tools?

Answer:  If you are a math expert and want to solve this alone. Please don’t read this answer now. When you figured out the answer then come and justify your answer.
           As you have two identical candles first light one end of a candle which burns for 60 minutes i.e. for 1 hour. When it burns out light both ends of the second candle which burns for 30 minutes.
1st candle (60 minutes) + 2nd candle (30 minutes) = 90 minutes

3.       Suppose you have two identical candles each burns for 1 hour. How can you measure 45 minutes with these two candles without using any measuring tools?

Answer:  First light both side of one candle and one side of another candle. The candle which is lighted at both ends, which if burns out will give you 30 minutes time duration. Then light another end of the second candle which now burns out in 15 minutes.

1st candle (30 minutes) + 2nd candle (15 minutes) = 45 minutes
